Si Daniel Padilla ba ’yan? Kathryn Bernardo’s sister posts cryptic message

Posting cryptic messages is very popular among celebrities and even their relatives. It is to some a measurement of ingenuity as the one who does it usually stirs controversy and opens doors for intrigues.

Of such is Kathryn Bernardo’s elder sister, Kaye, who unwittingly opened a can of worms in her cryptic post on Instagram and Facebook. Netizens collectively thought that her caption, “We know what you did last summer,” was alluding to Daniel Padilla, the ex-boyfriend of 11 years of Kathryn.

But what’s more intriguing is another message also from Kaye: “(2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023) — and the very first one that I know (2014).”

Padilla’s name was never mentioned in the post but it doesn’t matter. Netizens collectively thought that the five years mentioned were the years that the actor supposedly cheated on Kathryn.

The cryptic post elicited mixed reactions as one commenter believes that it is good as “mabuti nlang andito ang ate ni Kath na syang tagapagtanggol nya (It’s good that the sister of Kath is here to defend her). God bless you both ate Kaye and Kath.”

Another commenter believes that it should be water under the bridge now, saying, “Kaya nga. Nagbreak na so dapat tapos na. Kala ko closed chapter na. Ilan ba kapatid ni Kath? Bawat isa magpopost? Lalong nagmumukhang kawawa si Kath. Not good for her mental health ‘yung reminding her how she was fooled for 11 years (That is so. They have already broken up so it should be finished. I thought it was a closed chapter already. How many are Kath’s siblings? Each one will post?  It will make Kath more pitiful. It’s not good for her mental health reminding how she was fooled for 11 years).”

“Kathryn may seem to be playing it cool but at the end of the day she’s just like us who wants to get even one way or another,” wailed one guy.

Donny Pangilinan denies romantic ties with Kathryn Bernardo

Offering a drink and being extra attentive to Kathryn Bernardo during the wedding of Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda is all there is to it. Nothing more, nothing less.

That, in essence, is what Can’t Buy Me Love lead actor Donny Pangilinan stressed when billowing rumors made it appear that he’s romantically pursuing Daniel Padilla’s ex-girlfriend.

This comes right on the heels of a video post on X (formerly Twitter) where Pangilinan was seen offering drinks to a dancing Kathryn Bernardo.

“hi @donnypangilinan ganto ka pala pag interested ka sa babae,”
@Decimal_iii said in her caption.

Pangilinan later explained in an interview, “Siyempre, wedding ng friend namin ’yon. We had a great time. Lahat naman kami friends sa showbiz. Binabantayan namin ang isa’t isa. Ayun lang ’yon. I think for me it’s just having peace of mind na friends kaming lahat. Okay kami. Ginagawa namin ’yung trabaho namin, and that’s the most important thing (Of course, it’s the wedding of our friend. We are all friends in showbiz. We look out for each other. That’s all there is to it. We’re okay. We’re doing our job and that’s the most important thing).”

Domingo was quick to defend Pangilinan and clarified that Pangilinan, along with Darren Espanto, assisted in looking after the guests as part of the groomsmen duties.

“Just for the record: we’re all friends here. We’ve got each other’s backs. No issues, please.”

Sarah Lahbati, happy with interior design of new home

Sarah Lahbati expressed her satisfaction as she found the interior design of her new home very fulfilling.

Lahbati has moved into her new home recently and her dilemma of sorts was finding a good interior designer to decorate her new home.

But that seems to have been solved as in her latest post, she expressed happiness over the interior design work done for her new abode.

“So satisfied and happy with every single piece @vitoselma and I work on together for our collaboration @casaselma.ph. everything is ultra cozy and the best part is all pieces are made for indoor outdoor,” she said in her Instagram post, which showed the different furniture she used in her house.

One of Lahbati’s non-Filipino followers wrote a positive remark on her new home, saying, “I don’t live in the Philippines, I’m an American from California, so I don’t know much about Filipino celebrities, but you seem like an amazing woman. Congratulations.”
