Coffee lovers aren’t the only ones getting a treat this Yuletide season as Pickup Coffee is bringing back its Christmas Classics duo, Toffee Nut Latte and Peppermint Dark Mocha, while introducing a new item called Sea Salt Chocolate Marshmallows.
At its recent event, the homegrown specialty coffee chain gave a preview to guests by setting up a booth that sported its signature pastel green color motif and vintage-homey vibe to serve only those three holiday drinks.
The verdict? Sea Salt Chocolate Marshmallows (P85 base price for hot and cold) sold out fast, according to the baristas. This concoction made of rich chocolate with creamy milk and topped with sea salt cream mousse and marshmallows proved to be irresistible to the predominantly youngish crowd. Plus, a shot of espresso can be added upon request for some caffeine fix.
Peppermint Dark Mocha and Toffee Nut Latte (both P80 base price for hot and cold) had their fans, too. The former delighted lovers of the coffee and chocolate mixture with its rich espresso, hot steamed milk and Pickup Coffee’s very own Peppermint Dark Mocha twist. Meanwhile, the latter offered a different flavor using the Toffee Nut twist.
Also at the event, Pickup Coffee launched its first-ever planner that comes in — what else? — green color with a soft leather cover. In between the pages, there are the exquisite artworks of emerging artists Chy Cosme, Maia Cruz, Pia Garcia, Sean Go, Gabrielle Mabazza, JC Mahinay, Raco Ruiz, Seeweirdo and Threena Umali. The planner is small and handy, compared to the usual ones offered by other coffee companies, making it easy to carry around. It also has undated pages, so there’s no need to skip and, therefore, waste paper.
