After a season break, host Dingdong Dantes and the hit game show Family Feud are returning for a new season on 2 October, with a new “element” to offer excitement to an expectant audience.

Dantes said a new segment will be dedicated to younger audiences (“Mayroon ng portion para sa mga bata”). The actor-host shared that his daughter, Zia Dantes, for one, has a keen interest in the renowned TikToker Niana Guerrero; taking off from that, the show plans to incorporate TikTok dance craze moments to keep the excitement humming.

Asked for his dream guests, Dantes said he’d want to see Cassy and Mavy, the twins of Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villarroel, play Family Feud again. There’s also the breakout “BarDa” love team of David Licauco and Barbie Forteza. And he said he’d appreciate the opportunity to compete with his cousins Carlo Gonzalez and Arthur Solinap, with his wife Marian Rivera or good friend Michael V. as guest host.

What’s the most rewarding part about hosting Family Feud?

“Kapag nanalo ang mga contestants” (when the contestants win), Dantes said.

Also, “kapag nagawa ko ng tama yung hosting dahil there are days na hindi masyado maayos, kaya kung okay ang nagawa ko, very rewarding siya” (When I get the hosting right, because there are messy days; but when I get things right, it’s very rewarding).

Lastly, “kapag may nakakasalubong ako at sinasabi na gusto [nila] ang Family Feud” (when I meet people who say they enjoy the show).

In addition to Family Feud, Dantes has The Voice Generations and Amazing Earth on his hosting plate. He and Rivera have also started shooting for the movie Rewind, their entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival.
