Cole Brings Plenty, who played the role of Pete Plenty Clouds in the American series 1923, was found dead in a suburb area in Kansas after being reported missing a few days earlier.
In an updated Facebook post by the Johnson County, Kansas Sheriff’s Office, the police department stated that on 5 April, they responded to a call about an abandoned vehicle in a forested area.
Upon investigation, they found a lifeless male a few meters away from the abandoned vehicle. The body was soon identified as Cole Brings Plenty.
The actor’s father, Joe Brings Plenty, confirmed the news in a statement.
“I am deeply saddened to confirm that my son, Cole, has been found and is no longer with us. We want to thank everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole,” he said.
Their family also expressed gratitude to the people who helped in their search for the actor.
On 3 April, Yellowstone actor Mo Brings Plenty posted on Instagram a missing-person poster in the hope of locating his nephew.
The 1923 actor was last seen driving a white Ford Explorer in the early hours of 31 March.
It was also reported that Cole had been a suspect in a case involving domestic violence.
Aside from 1923, he also starred in other series, including Into the Wild Frontier and The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger.
